College Awards and Scholarships

• Dean’s Scholarship - $1,000 four-year renewable scholarship for an outstanding new freshman 
• Larry R. Miller Scholarship - for an undergraduate student enrolled as a major in a program in the college who has completed 60 hours of credit course work, 30 of which should have been completed at Illinois State University
• Outstanding Student Researcher Award - recognizes significant undergraduate and graduate research projects conducted by CAST students and annually identifies one student or a group of students who have participated in a project of significance

School of Kinesiology and Recreation Awards and Scholarships

• Trent Richards Scholarship - given to a Kinesiology and Recreation junior with demonstrated strong academic achievement
• McGinnis Travel Awards - assist KNR students to students attend regional, state, and national conferences
• Graduate Student Awards - for current KNR graduate students

Recreation Awards and Scholarships

• Southern Illinois Parks and Recreation Association - awards annual competitive scholarships annually to deserving students.
• Illinois Park and Recreation Foundation Scholarship  - awards annual competitive scholarships for deserving undergraduate and graduate students

Kinesiology Awards and Scholarships

• Illinois Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance - sponsors an annual student/mentor award to stimulate the professional development of students and to increase student involvement in the association
